Our Promise
The 60-Day Relief Promise
Sixty days. One email. We mean it.
We document the refund process in writing because the femcare category trained women to expect the opposite.
The promise, stated plainly.
Try the DualWave Relief Belt for two full menstrual cycles. That gives you a fair chance to test it on the days that matter most — Day One, Day Two, the cancelled-meeting days, the bathroom-floor days.
If at any point in those 60 days you decide it isn't working for you, send us one email. Refund processed within 48 business hours. No questionnaires, no "please give it another cycle," no return shipping required.
You keep the belt. Donate it, gift it to a friend, recycle it. We don't pay for the postage to ship a used medical-grade device back to our Manchester fulfilment centre because that defeats the entire purpose of "risk-free."
The risk on this purchase is ours, not yours. That's the whole promise.
Why this exists.
The category trained you to expect the opposite. Heating pads from Boots come with no guarantee at all. ThermaCare patches you've already used you can't return. The viral TENS device that stopped working after six weeks — most users discovered the company had quietly stopped responding to refund requests months earlier.
When you've spent fifteen years buying things for cramps that don't quite work, scepticism stops being a personality trait and starts being good judgement.
We built peryode for women who already tried four other things. The 60-Day Relief Promise exists because asking a sceptical woman to spend £74.99 on yet another wearable, without a real way to test it on her own body, on her own cycle, is a request she has every reason to decline.
So we removed the risk entirely. If the belt doesn't earn its place in your life within two cycles, you don't need to argue with us about why. One email, full refund, keep the belt.
How the refund works, step by step.
01
One email.
Reply to your order confirmation email, or write to care@peryode.com. Subject line: "Refund." That's the entire request.
You don't need to explain why. You don't need to send photos. You don't need to fill in a form. We've watched too many companies use "let us understand your concerns" as a euphemism for talking customers out of their refunds. We don't.
02
48 business hours.
We process refunds Monday to Friday during UK business hours. From the moment your email lands in our inbox, the maximum wait is 48 business hours. Most go through within 24.
You'll get a confirmation email when the refund is initiated. The money lands back in your original payment method within 3-5 working days, depending on your bank.
03
Keep the belt.
You don't ship it back. We don't pay you to put a used medical-grade device through Royal Mail return logistics. That's wasted postage and wasted carbon for a device that's still functional.
Donate it to a sister, a friend, a colleague who's been suffering through her cycles. Pass it forward. The belt was built to be kept for a decade — if it's not yours, let it be someone else's.
The honest caveats.
We respect your time, so here's what the promise doesn't cover.
The 60-Day Promise covers the product working for primary dysmenorrhea — period cramps without underlying pathology. If your pain comes from endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, or pelvic floor dysfunction, the belt may help functionally on bad days but will not address the underlying condition. Reviewers with endo report meaningful improvement; we won't pretend it's a cure.
The promise applies to one belt per household. We've had a small number of cases of women ordering, refunding, then ordering again — that's fine, life happens. We've had a smaller number trying to game the system across multiple addresses. That gets flagged and declined.
Damaged-on-arrival cases are handled separately and faster. Email care@peryode.com within 7 days of delivery, send a single photo, we ship a replacement same-day. No 60-day waiting period required for legitimate damage.
The promise does not cover gift orders refunded by a recipient who didn't choose the product themselves. The original purchaser gets the refund window — gift recipients can transfer the belt to anyone they like, but the refund relationship stays with the buyer.
Why we can offer this.
Most companies can't offer a "keep the product, full refund" promise because their refund rates would bankrupt them. Ours can because the product works for the women it was built for.
When you target a wearable to a specific physiological mechanism — primary dysmenorrhea, addressed via continuous heat at 38–45°C plus calibrated vibration — you don't need to convert women whose pain is caused by something else. The promise lets the wrong-fit customer leave without losing money. The right-fit customer keeps the belt for the next decade of cycles.
This isn't a marketing position. It's how we built the company. The math works when the product works.
